How to budget a whole-company event with real gun turrets

Turn a company-wide gun turret event into a clear budget request: choose a continuous arena window, record its total in US dollars, and attach a company program. Compare headcount quotes with fixed day passes, then give the approver the scope, capacity and named event owner on one sheet.

The arena budget

A whole-company event with real gun turrets can be budgeted by headcount or by a fixed arena window. A 200-person session costs $5,000 for 150 minutes; a 5-hour pass costs $8,000 and a 10-hour pass $14,000. Prices are in USD. Colleagues join from their own browsers and return for more rounds.

Start the request with the experience. Colleagues control real gun turrets from their own phone or laptop browser, firing less-lethal .68 caliber rounds at sensor targets in Shov's live arena. A private booking brings office and home workers into the same competition and company leaderboard. Large and whole-company groups are especially well suited to an arena that stays open while people drop in between work blocks and return for more matches.

Choose a headcount quote or an arena-day budget

A per-person booking has a $500 minimum for the entire session. Current rates per person are 2–19 people: $50; 20–49 people: $40; 50–99 people: $35; 100–199 people: $30; 200+ people: $25. Each $50 of the booking total buys one complete arena match. Matches run for 90 seconds, back to back with no gap. All figures in this guide are in US dollars.

Per-person session quotes computed from the same pricing configuration as the booking planner. Duration is rounded up to a whole displayed minute.

500$12,500250375 min6
1,000$25,000500750 min6

The 50-person quote contains 52.5 minutes of matches; the planner displays 53 minutes rounded up. The estimate of 7.2 matches each at 100 people describes repeat participation across the booking. Actual turns depend on when colleagues join and rejoin.

Day passes are separate fixed-price choices. Headcount is the expected audience; player slots include return turns.
Fixed arena windowTotal, USDMatchesPlayer slots
5 hours$8,0002002,400
10 hours$14,0004004,800

For 500 people, the per-person booking is $12,500 for 375 minutes. A 10-hour pass adds 225 minutes for $1,500 more. Its internal budget allocation across 500 expected colleagues is $28 each, while the purchase remains one fixed $14,000 arena window. The headcount quote allocates $25 each. Select the window that fits the company day; these are different amounts of arena time.

For a 200-person afternoon, compare 150 minutes for $5,000 with 5 hours for $8,000. For 1,000 expected colleagues, the 10-hour pass is still $14,000; dividing it across the audience gives $14 each as an internal budget allocation.

Put player slots beside the budget

At full configured capacity, 12 turret seats × 40 matches per hour = 480 player slots per hour. One slot means one person's turn in one match; return visits count again. Headcount means distinct expected colleagues. Keep those two fields separate on the approval sheet.

Planning averages: available player slots divided by expected colleagues, including repeat turns. Actual attendance and rejoining determine participation.
WindowPlayer slotsAt 200 expected peopleAt 500At 1,000

10 hours4,800249.64.8

A player returns to the lobby after a round and sits out the next match before rejoining. The arena keeps running back to back, so colleagues can revisit across the booked window.

The figure requests the arena package. Record locally selected prizes, food or company production on their own lines. Refresh the quote in the live planner when you choose the date. An internal budget recorded in another currency should name the company's exchange-rate assumption separately from the USD arena price.

Fit the program around the purchased window

A 5-hour afternoon could run 13:00–18:00 in the organizer's named time zone. Hold the company introduction before 13:00, share the private invitation at opening, and let departments visit between work blocks. At 15:00, the company channel can feature colleagues' favourite plays. Close the company conversation after 18:00 with the leaderboard. The arena runs throughout its booking.

For a 10-hour company day, share one dated invitation covering the whole window and suggested office visits that fit each location's working hours. Department leads can introduce their teams in the existing company channel and encourage return rounds later. The organizer owns these visit suggestions, calls and communications. Shov supplies the private arena, matches, live AI announcer and company leaderboard.

Record the result

At closeout, keep three separate figures: the amount spent, the number of distinct employees who participated, and the number of match turns they played. The arena's capacity is a planning input; the company attendance record supplies the distinct-person count. Use that record and colleagues' feedback to plan the next company event.
