TERMS OF SERVICE
SENAST UPPDATERAD: 2026-10-01
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern shov.com, Shov accounts, purchases, livestreams, gameplay, public profiles, replays, promotions, and related services operated by MMOD, Inc. ("Shov," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Shov, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and acceptance
You must be at least 13 to create or use a Shov account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you and supervise your use. You may use Shov only where it is lawful and available. By creating an account, purchasing credits, entering a queue, or otherwise using Shov, you represent that you meet these requirements and accept these Terms.
2. Credits, purchases, gifts, and refunds
Credits are Shov's platform-only unit. Unless a different price is displayed, one credit costs US $1. Credits have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, and are not cryptocurrency, securities, or negotiable instruments. Pack prices, taxes, and any convenience fee are shown before purchase. Gift cards and promotional credits are subject to the displayed offer, these Terms, and applicable law; they may not be resold or exchanged for cash except where law requires.
Stripe processes payments; Shov does not store full payment-card numbers. By paying, you authorize the displayed charge and request immediate delivery of the credits or digital service. If applicable law gives you cancellation or withdrawal rights, these Terms do not limit them. Where law permits, you consent to performance beginning immediately and understand that a withdrawal right may end once digital content is supplied or a service is fully performed. We provide refunds or replacement credits where required by law and for verified non-delivery, duplicate charges, payment errors, or qualifying Shov technical failures. Email hi@shov.com with the purchase reference.
3. Queues, matches, fees, and prizes
The displayed base entry price locks when you join a queue, and Shov debits or holds that amount then. Optional turret selection may cost an additional displayed fee and does not increase the winner prize. Leaving while still waiting ordinarily refunds the held entry and refundable selection fee; after assignment or match start, leaving or failing to participate may forfeit them. If Shov cannot deliver an assigned round because of a verified platform, arena, or turret failure, we may restore credits, provide priority re-entry, or supply a replacement round. Final standings are based on recorded game events. In standard paid matches, the displayed winner prize is ordinarily five times the winner's locked base entry price; ties, free rounds, promotions, and special modes may follow displayed rules. Outcomes depend on skill and are never guaranteed.
4. Accounts, public profiles, and media
Keep control of the phone number and email connected to your account and notify hi@shov.com promptly about unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, transfer, or create multiple accounts to evade rules or obtain duplicate benefits. Handles, avatars, public profile fields, scores, rankings, match activity, and replays are public by design. If you enable a camera or microphone, you authorize Shov to livestream, record, store, reproduce, edit, display, distribute, and promote that match footage, including your image, likeness, voice, and handle, worldwide and royalty-free, and to use and license it as described in the Privacy Policy. You may stop future camera or microphone capture in the product, but copies already recorded may remain, subject to applicable privacy law. Match records, control inputs, telemetry, and arena, turret, and replay recordings created by Shov's systems belong to Shov. You retain ownership of content you provide and grant Shov a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, and license it for any purpose described in the Privacy Policy, including operating, securing, improving, and promoting Shov and training and evaluating AI and machine-learning models, alone or with third parties.
Shov records every match, including private group events. All arena, turret, scope, camera, audio and replay footage and recordings Shov captures, and everything made from them, belong to Shov. Shov may use, edit, publish and license them for any purpose, including advertising and marketing, worldwide, royalty-free and without further notice, approval or payment. These rights cover the names, handles, images, likenesses and voices of everyone who plays and, for group events, the company name and any logo uploaded for the event. By booking or joining a group event, organizers and players grant these rights and confirm they may grant them for their company and team. Shov grants organizers, their companies and players a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to watch, download and share the replays and recaps of their own matches.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Exploit bugs, automation, or third-party software to gain an unfair advantage
- Create multiple accounts, share accounts, or sell/transfer accounts
- Interfere with match integrity, collude with other players, or chargeback abuse
- Use Shov for unlawful, threatening, harassing, infringing, deceptive, unsafe, or commercially exploitative purposes; attempt to bypass geographic, age, payment, safety, or access restrictions; or misuse replays or another person's identity, image, or voice
6. Availability, suspension, and disclaimers
Live hardware, networks, video, scoring, and payment systems can fail or become unavailable. We may pause, cancel, reschedule, re-score, or void a round; block a command; suspend or terminate access; or remove content when reasonably necessary for safety, security, law, payment risk, rule enforcement, maintenance, or product changes. Except for guarantees that cannot legally be excluded, Shov is provided "as is" and "as available" without implied warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms requires Shov to keep a particular feature, replay, promotion, price, or schedule available.
7. Liability and indemnity
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MMOD, INC. AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY. THEIR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM SHOV WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID SHOV DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT LAW DOES NOT ALLOW US TO LIMIT. You agree to indemnify and hold those parties harmless from third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, your content, or your material breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Changes, termination, and general terms
We may update these Terms as Shov or the law changes. We will post the effective date and give additional notice of material changes when required. Continued use after the effective date accepts the revised Terms; otherwise, stop using Shov. We may suspend or terminate an account for a material or repeated breach, fraud, chargeback abuse, safety risk, or legal requirement. California law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules, but mandatory consumer protections where you live still apply. Subject to those protections, disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts serving San Francisco County, California. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business.
9. Privacy and Electronic Measurement
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we process information and use optional analytics or advertising technology. They are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Optional analytics and advertising are on by default as described there, and you can turn either off at any time in Cookie Settings.
